What happens if the supposed “paradise” is refused and consciously rejected? „Lilith“ is a search towards a character, which has been around us for thousands of years, and yet she seems abstract, not quite tangible. Lilith is still a phenomenon that gives us a lot to think about, also in relation to patriarchal, hegemonic „norms“, the supposed ideal type of women* and everything that has always gone hand in hand with mechanisms of oppression. Who tells the story, who shapes the myths surrounding the representational figures of the supposedly “female”? And where do women* get their stories back, keep them, guard them, and rewrite their history? The result of this project was a book and an exhibition in Salzamt, Linz (Mai 2023).
