Self-images, analyzed through deconstruction using Polaroid photography. The instant camera symbolizes an important advance in the development of images, although the immediate development of analogue photography seems kind of lost nowadays. This work examines how an image that represents a current moment of one’s existence changes as it transitions into a new, deformed reality. This leads to questions about the fusion of history and physicality. Various techniques such as emulsion manipulation, heat and deformation of the emulsion layer were used. The work aims to question and reinterpret our traditional ability to perceive the current state and the perception of existence, presenting a kind of alchemy of destruction and deconstruction of the self.
