A whole row of houses, consisting of vacancies, in which the time seems to have stood still – but you can guess how the people lived there until recently and you will also find evidence of what has happened in and around the houses since the buildings were empty. As if entering a time capsule, I went in search of relics of the past, individual objects, facade paintings, street signs that testify that something was here that no longer exists and yet still tells a story, depicts something that is left. Something that visually testifies to a kind of stillness and gives it a language. A documentary photo journey through a street that opens up its own perspective on a miniature world that will soon no longer exist. Out of this research, a zine was printed by potato publishing (in Waldeggstraße, where the pictures where taken) and pictures where placed on site on the facades of the abandoned houses, until a storm took them away.
